About the event
Bitcoin Amsterdam 2026 is a two-day conference dedicated to Bitcoin, held on 5 and 6 November 2026 at SugarFactory, an event venue in Halfweg on the western edge of Amsterdam. It is the fifth edition of the event.
Who organises Bitcoin Amsterdam?
The conference is published by BTC Inc., the company behind Bitcoin Magazine and the large Bitcoin conference held every year in the United States. BTC Inc. is a subsidiary of Nakamoto Inc., listed on Nasdaq. Bitcoin Amsterdam is its European event and calls itself Bitcoin’s European stage.
Audience and themes
The event targets capital allocators, founders, builders and lawmakers. A large part of the programme deals with companies and institutions that hold bitcoin on their balance sheet, the so-called treasury strategies. A closed-door symposium for allocators and treasury teams takes place the day before. Speakers announced on the official site include Jack Mallers (Strike), David Bailey (Nakamoto Inc.), Maarten van der Noordaa (Rabobank) and Keith Grose (Coinbase). Expect an expo floor, roundtables, meetups and side events across the city during the week.

Why it matters
Bitcoin Amsterdam is one of the main Bitcoin-only gatherings in Europe, and its focus on corporate treasuries and banks shows how institutional demand is evolving on this side of the Atlantic. It is also an affordable entry point compared with US conferences. If you plan to pay or receive bitcoin there, our guide to crypto wallets explains how to keep your coins safe.
