Editorial policy
Read the Coindaro editorial policy: primary sources first, fact-checking, corrections, conflicts of interest, disclosure rules and how we use AI tools.
This editorial policy sets out how the Coindaro editorial team researches, writes, checks and corrects what we publish about crypto markets, technology and regulation. It applies to every format in every language: news, analysis, crypto pages, exchange and wallet reviews, project pages, launchpads, airdrops, guides, glossary entries and events. Who we are and what we cover is explained on our About page.
Sourcing standards
We go to primary sources first: official websites and documentation, whitepapers, regulators’ registers (such as the ESMA register of crypto-asset service providers, the AMF in France, the FCA in the UK or FinCEN and state regulators in the US), court filings, audit reports, on-chain data and company announcements. Reputable media are used to complement them, and we say when a fact relies on a secondary source.
- Every page lists its main sources, with links, so readers can check our work.
- A fact we cannot confirm is left out. We do not publish rumours as facts, and we do not invent figures, quotes, people or dates.
- Values that move, such as trading fees, the number of listed assets or licence status, carry the date of our check (“as of October 2026”, for example).
- Prices, market capitalisations, volumes and similar figures are live data from market providers (mainly CoinGecko) and are never typed into the text.
Fact-checking
Before publication, the editorial team checks names, numbers, dates and claims against the cited sources. Reviews, project pages, launchpads and airdrops get an extra check: licences are confirmed in the relevant public register, and campaigns must appear on the project’s official channels (website, documentation or verified social accounts). An airdrop or token sale that we cannot confirm this way is not published.
Updates and corrections
Crypto changes quickly, so we update pages when the facts change: a new fee schedule, a licence granted or withdrawn, a security incident, a delayed launch. Substantive updates are dated on the page.
When we make a mistake, we fix it as soon as it is confirmed. Minor errors (a typo, a broken link) are corrected directly. Errors of fact are corrected with a short note on the page explaining what was wrong and when it was changed. We do not quietly rewrite a story to hide a mistake.
To report an error, write to us through our contact page with the address of the page, the passage concerned and, if possible, a source. Every report is read by the editorial team, and we reply when a correction is made.
Conflicts of interest
Members of the editorial team may own crypto-assets, as many people who follow this market do. To avoid conflicts, they do not write about an asset or a company in which they have a significant personal interest, they do not trade on information before it is published, and they do not accept gifts, paid trips, tokens or airdrop allocations from the companies we cover. Free access to a product for testing, when it happens, is mentioned in the review.
Sponsored content and affiliate links
Coindaro does not sell editorial coverage. A company cannot pay for an article, a review, a score or a position in a ranking, and companies do not see our texts before publication.
- Sponsored content: if we ever publish content paid for by a third party, it will be labelled “Sponsored” at the top of the page, kept separate from editorial content and never presented as a review.
- Affiliate links: if a page contains affiliate links, a disclosure at the top of that page will say so. An affiliate relationship has no effect on our scores, which follow our rating methodology.
- Advertising: if the site displays advertising, it is visually separated from editorial content, and advertisers have no say in what we write.
How we use AI-assisted tools
We use AI-assisted tools in our work, and we want to be plain about it. They help with research (finding and summarising documents, comparing sources) and with drafting (first versions, translations between our three languages, rewording). They do not decide what we publish.
Every text is checked by the editorial team before publication: facts are verified against the cited sources, figures are checked, and the wording is reviewed for accuracy and balance. Scores and verdicts are decided by the team using our published method, not generated by a tool. Responsibility for every published page lies with the Coindaro Editorial Team.
No investment advice
Coindaro provides information, not financial, investment, legal or tax advice. We do not tell readers to buy or sell any asset, we do not publish price targets presented as predictions, and we do not promise returns. Crypto-assets are volatile and risky: read our crypto risk warning and, for decisions that matter to you, consult a qualified professional authorised in your country.
Who is responsible
Content is signed “Coindaro Editorial Team”. The team works collectively and takes responsibility for every page, including corrections. This policy is reviewed regularly; the latest version is the one published on this page.
