About the event

Cosmoverse Hong Kong 2026 takes place on Thursday 5 and Friday 6 November at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong in Wan Chai, under a new name: the Hong Kong Digital Asset Summit. The conference where Cosmos Labs laid out its Cosmos Hub and ATOM plans in Split last year now sells itself as a meeting point for central banks, regulators and financial institutions. It runs during Hong Kong FinTech Week (2-6 November), and Cosmoverse Labs hosts it.

The speaker list reads like a banking conference. Hong Kong’s Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury is on it, as are the head of the BIS Innovation Hub Hong Kong Centre, Standard Chartered, HSBC, UBS, BlackRock and Franklin Templeton.

The Cosmos link is thinner than the name suggests. On the 2026 speakers page, only Jae Kwon carries the word, listed as “Founder, Gno.land & Cosmos”.

A Business Day on Wednesday 4 November, from 14:00 Hong Kong time, comes first. It is a working session by invitation only, under the Chatham House Rule, and no pass gives access to it.

Cosmoverse Hong Kong programme: tokenized funds and settlement

Only three sessions had a time on 29 October, all on Thursday 5 November. “Tokenized funds are here” opens at 11:15. A panel called “Tokenize Everything”, on banks, institutional capital and the infrastructure behind tokenization, follows at 13:45, and a session on cross-border settlement starts at 14:15. Times are Hong Kong time (HKT, UTC+8): 11:15 HKT is 03:15 UTC, or 04:15 in Paris and Rome.

Thursday ends at the Champagne Bar with an Investor Soiree hosted by Injective from 17:00, including an Injective and Invesco fireside chat at 17:50. Both official pages list the soiree as an Executive Pass benefit.

Friday is vaguer. The Luma registration page promises stage conversations and networking, gives no session titles and warns that the schedule is subject to updates. The InvestHK listing on StartMeUp describes two days of keynotes, panels, executive roundtables and networking about deploying digital asset infrastructure within Hong Kong’s regulatory framework.

Confirmed speakers, from regulators to asset managers

Justin Sun, the founder of TRON, is the keynote. cosmoverse.org announces him under the line “Justin Sun Joins On Stage”.

The public sector is unusually present for an event born in the crypto world. Joseph Chan (Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury) and Bénédicte Nolens (Head of the BIS Innovation Hub Hong Kong Centre) lead that group. Elizabeth Wong (Director and Head of Fintech unit, Intermediaries) and King Leung (Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion) sit with them, along with Peggy Kwok of InvestHK, Italo Borssatto of the BIS, Bobo Lee of Cyberport and Joshua Chu, co-chair of the Hong Kong Web3 Association.

Banks and fund houses fill much of the industry side: René Michau (Standard Chartered), Bugra Celik (HSBC), Kayan Chan (UBS), Barton Lui (BlackRock), Matthew French (Franklin Templeton), Emma Pecenicic (Fidelity International), Tom Digby, who runs APAC ETF distribution at Invesco, and Don Ng (China Asset Management). Payments bring Nischint Sanghavi (Visa), Devendra Verma (SWIFT) and Patricia Ho, Circle’s general manager for Hong Kong.

Crypto names include Eric Chen (Injective Labs), Justin Kim (Ava Labs), Niki Ariyasinghe (Chainlink Labs), Adrian Tan (Binance), Charles d’Haussy (dYdX Foundation), Jean-David Péquignot (Deribit) and Serra Wei (Tokenization Foundation). Winnie Cheung (PwC Hong Kong), Afia Sengupta (CAT Investigators) and Angelina Kwan (Stratford Finance) complete the advisory side. Luma also names Alchemy Pay among its latest additions.

No Cosmos Labs or Interchain Foundation executive appears on the 2026 list. Cosmos Labs co-CEOs Maghnus Mareneck and Barry Plunkett show up on the same page only as speakers of past editions.

Tickets: USD 88 and USD 888 on cosmoverse.org, final price at checkout

On 29 October, cosmoverse.org listed two passes. The Summit Pass, at USD 88, covers both days, lunch and coffee breaks, and the conference and networking zone. The Executive Pass, at USD 888, adds a VIP dinner on 4 November at 18:30 HKT, an executive lounge and the Investor Soiree by Injective.

Luma tells another story. The same day it showed “0” for both passes, with no currency and a blank “Available until” field. That may be a placeholder; nothing official says so. Luma caps the Summit Pass at 500 “at this price” and the Executive Pass at 100, and offers a third package, Executive + Hotel (two nights with breakfast), with no price. Room-only bookings at the Grand Hyatt use the attendee code G-COSM, at rates the hotel sets.

So treat neither figure as final: the checkout page shows what you will pay. No euro price is published.

Venue, dates and time difference

The summit is at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, 1 Harbour Road, Wan Chai, the address given by Luma and StartMeUp; the official site names the hotel only. Daily opening and closing times are not published, which is why this page lists the event as all-day on 5 and 6 November. Hong Kong does not change its clocks. Since Europe moved to winter time on 25 October, it is seven hours ahead of Paris and Rome. Listings that show 4-6 November count the invitation-only Business Day.

Cosmoverse 2025 in Split and the Cosmos Hub plan

The 2025 edition ran from 30 October to 1 November in Split, Croatia. A press release published on crypto.news counts more than 60 sessions on AI, Bitcoin, tokenization, policy, EVM and stablecoins. Jürgen Schaaf of the ECB and Linardo Martinečević of the Croatian National Bank discussed the digital euro there, Visa presented a stablecoin liquidity pilot with banks, and a Hackmos hackathon with DoraHacks drew 100 builders. No attendance figure was given.

Cosmos Labs used Split for four keynotes. Its own recap of 5 November 2025 lists the Hub plan: a stronger Hub team, with Hypha taking over technical work, Tokenfactory and Comet performance upgrades, a new delegation programme and a redesign of ATOM tokenomics with the community and independent research firms. For the Cosmos Stack, it said IBC integration with Solana was in final development and set a goal of more than 10,000 transactions per second for CometBFT. Whether Cosmos Labs will report on that plan in Hong Kong is unknown, since it is not on the bill.

Why the Cosmos ecosystem should watch this week

The summit lands while Cosmos chains are reshaping themselves. Osmosis ended OSMO inflation when proposal 1053 passed on 25 October. On the Akash chain, proposal 346 to move the protocol from Cosmos to Solana stays open until 2 November at 15:02 UTC. The ecosystem’s best-known conference, meanwhile, is courting banks and fund managers.

For readers in Europe and Africa, going means a trip to Asia and prices in US dollars only, and nothing on the programme touches MiCA. The useful part is what comes out of the rooms on tokenized funds, settlement and Hong Kong rules. The city’s next large crypto date is Consensus Hong Kong, 1-3 February 2027.

What is not known yet

As of 29 October, the final ticket prices and the Friday schedule were missing, as were daily opening and closing times, the hotel package price and any livestream or recording. No attendance figure exists for this edition or past ones, and the 2027 location has not been announced.
